The Global Achievement Project (GAP) offers support and services to students born outside the continental United States – refugees, immigrants, etc. Academically, obstacles that may impede the success of these students are identified and programs and services put into place to address student needs. Socially, the coordinator arranges opportunities for students to come together in a spirit of fellowship and mutual support. The coordinator of the project provides an array of services:

• Advises students regarding educational options, requirements, policies and procedures;

• Refers students to workshops and instructional opportunities on student success;

• Informs students of on-campus and off-campus resources for assistance and support; and

• Assists students in clarifying values and goals.
